In Camera Editing

This short film was a collaborative project that was filmed in a single shoot and edited together with no visual effects. This short was storyboarded by me, and after being put through a round of critiques, we had a fileable concept that was generally confined to a single location.

We were able to film at an actual cafe area at night and populate the set with a number of extras we recruited. Minimal set dressing was required for the exterior shots.

Storyboarding the sequence out helped us gravitate towards the source of interest in a scene and get some dynamic shots that livened up what could have easily been dull moments. The establishing shots also helped in creating a believable environment that existed outside of the world of the main character. While filming at night didn’t work to out advantage, we were still able to work around much of the lighting issues.
