Factory

For my study in motion graphics, I created a short animation primarily created with Adobe AfterEffects. The process behind this was repurposing various found images into a sort of collage put to motion.
To create this short story, a sense of timing and rhythm was imperative. While abstract visuals were utilized, it was still supposed to tell a story without dialogue.
Unique to AfterEffects were various filter effects to give the appearance of film grain, particle effects for special effects, and camera lens effects to provide depth.
Overall, I found secondary motion to be the most effective asset for this production, let alone any animation. A video that is too static comes off as fake, but small motion throughout a piece can be utilized to create something that appears more organic and lifelike.
