10:11

This project represents an short term video project created by a group of fellow amateur filmmakers. In order to compete in the Alfred 48 Competition, our selected group had to supervise the creation of a short film from conception to the final render. In addition, we had to work within the limitations of the selected “Slice of Life” and “Action” genres whilst also incorporating certain subjects, such as “Charlie Gray” and “10:11.”
Due to the time constraints, pre-production had to be expedited so that the crew could move into filming as soon as possible and make the most of our daylight hours. The script had to be made loose to allow for changes on the fly. Location scouting was also taken into account and generally low traffic areas were used to accommodate for multiple takes. In a few instances, settings were dressed to portray the part needed.
Editing and rendering proved to be the most time consuming part of the second day. Due to the brisk pace of filming, I believe it was in large part up to the editing to create a sense of flow and continuity and to bridge the narrative.
